When I Stop Barking © 2019

I dedicate this song to anyone who has a mean old person in their life.

I want to stress that this is a rough draft. I’ve been very busy writing, and haven’t put much thought into the production. This is one of 3 songs finished this past week. I’m so eager to share SOMETHING! I actually have a good recording of Pixels, but hesitate to share it online until the copyright is secure because of it’s a pop tune nature. READ ON FOR LYRICS >>

I may be hunched and twisted
Drooping toward the ground
I still sniff out your defects
Like a cadaver hound

No, you don't want to hear it
Well harness your revolt
It's the very thing that
You will miss the most

Cuz when I stop barking
Fire up the coal
Yeah when I stop barking
Start digging my hole.

When my legs are wheels and
My teeth sleep in a glass
And my gestures are jerky
Like silent films of past

When my skin crinkles
Like paper mache
And you can look straight through
And count up all the veins

When my cabinets fill with
Syringes and pills
Don't start counting down
Or looking for my will

It's when I stop barking
Fire up the coal
Yeah when I stop barking
Start digging my hole

Your eyes plead with me "be quiet"
No, not til I'm a ghost
And let me remind you once again
It's the thing that you'll miss most

When I stop barking
Fire up the coal
Yeah when I stop barking
Start digging. My. Hole.
