We’ve been working diligently for weeks, every night and on weekends. Her voice and sense of harmony astound me so I didn’t want to disappoint. I learned as much as I could about vocal production. From manually dampening every harsh constant to putting side chain compression on music tracks with overlapping frequencies, I tried not to rely on one-size-fits-all AI effects, EQs, de-essors or compression. They’re icing on the cake after manually balancing the song one bar at a time, again and again.
