2 posts ago, I was thrilled to find out my recording software also made dance music. I bought the upgraded software, only to be let down that I had to wait a week for this odd usb “license” key to come in the regular mail in order to “unlock” it. The anticipation was painful. I raced home the day the UPS tracking said “delivered”. I imagined the new drum kit sounds resonate around my ribs, and the electro bass punch me in the gut. Finally, I was home to unlock the software. I loaded my song in progress…and..there was no sound. . It was the worst case of creative blue balls I have ever known.
I mean imagine trying to troubleshoot. Look at it. All the buttons, knobs, links, drop downs. And that’s only the tip of the iceberg. Every night, I spent HOURS on forums, googling. watching videos (WHEN did they decide videos should take the place of written word tutorials? HELLO? What about people who are too impatient to watch a damn video.
And finally, a break through. Someone on the forum suggested maybe I installed the “upgrade” version & not the full version. Yah. I DOWNLOADED the full version. But then…during install…trick question…”Do you want to check for updates?” Correct answer: NO
